For 1971-73 Mercury Cougars and Ford Mustangs with the 351W engine manufactured after 10-26-1970. This is a Pitts manufactured pulley and clutch assembly with a pulley diameter of 6-5/16", a clutch diameter of 5-1/8", and an overall thickness of 1-11/16 inches. Ford part # D1OA-2981-A. May also have part numbers D1OA-2981-AA, D1OA-2981-A1A, D1OA-2981-A1B, D1OA-2981-A2A, and D1OA-2981-A2B.

This A/C vacuum canister mounts to the passenger side shock tower and controls damper doors inside the A/C unit. This unit includes a built in check valve. Used and tested vacuum tank and bracket, also known as the A/C vacuum reservoir. This is the correct base for a 1972 Mercury Cougar with a Q code 351-4V Cleveland engine. It came with a painted lid unless your car happened to have been ordered with the "Sporty Exhaust" package and then a chrome lid was included. One year only air cleaner for the Cougar. This used grade "A" bezel for the driver side master switch was used in the latter part of 1970 through the 1972 model year. These do not "pry" off rather they are removed by slipping a small screw driver between the bezel and door panel and depressing the clip tab so as to release it from the master switch housing. C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. Bolts into place with 6 hex bolts 3/8-16 x 1-1/8" with washers. These were painted satin black from the factory. As you look at our picture below you will see the repro is about half the thickness. The repro is different in every detail but will work. We also have used plates with minor damage at a reduced cost.
