These are the brackets required to mount the optional rear bumper guards. They mount behind the rear valance and are often overlooked when people part out a Cougar. *NOTE* As is often the case, service replacement parts are painted satin black and the originals installed on the assembly line were left natural. The mounting brackets are in fact supposed to have a natural finish if your car came with them from the factory.

Correct size and style white square plastic insert that clips onto front or rear license plate bracket on any 1967-73 Mercury Cougar. Each kit allows one license plate to be mounted.
