Description: This item has been Discontinued by the manufacturer. There are currently two makers of this rubber switch that fits in the recess of your 1970 - 1974 Rim-blow wheel. This is far superior to the switch Ford put out as a service part in the 90's. It is imperative that you clean every part of your old switch out of the steering wheel channel before carefully installing the new switch. It is best to start both ends at the same time at 6 o'clock and meet at the middle at 12 o'clock. It measures 43 3/8" in length. This switch requires more effort to activate than the originals which often would sound the horn when grasping the wheel firmly to make a corner. Don - I installed a rim blow steering wheel switch that I purchased from you last week on my 1972 Mercury Montego GT and it made a world of difference compared to the other switch I had sourced from another vendor. Your switch installed with no glue - has stayed in place, and is firm enough so that I only honk when I intend to honk - not when I am parking, turning, etc. This eliminated a problem area I have had with this car for years!
