For any 1970 Cougar, part of the Competition Handling Package. Rear sway bars were standard fare on all Boss 302 Eliminators, and 428 Cobra Jets. This bar is 5/8 inches thick. Concours restorers, paint this bar chassis black and put a single Purple stripe on it.
This factory used rear sway bar, does not include any mounting brackets or end link kits.

This is the mounting plate for the end links on the factory rear sway bar. The tab for the end links are mounted forward of the rear axle towards the outside of the car. These plates get sandwiched between the shock mounting plates and the Isolator clamps on your rear axle assembly. Sold individually and you will need two for the installation. Left is the same as right. The total width of this plate at its very widest part is 7 7/8".

These are the U-shaped brackets that hold the round part of the rear sway bar. These mount to the rear frame rail. All 1970 – 1973 Cougars should have these mounting holes from the factory, 1969 and earlier Cougars do not have these holes. Two clamps needed for installation.
