C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. Bolts into place with 6 hex bolts 3/8-16 x 1-1/8" with washers. These were painted satin black from the factory. As you look at our picture below you will see the repro is about half the thickness. The repro is different in every detail but will work. We also have used plates with minor damage at a reduced cost.

Very distinguished looking pair of NOS Mercury Cougar promo glasses. As documented in our "40th Anniversary Introductory Program Book / CD" Mercury came up with dozens of unique ways to promote the new "Cougar" in 1966. This listing is for a 3 bolt type upper ball joint, NOS, original Ford Service replacement upper control arm assembly. We have a very hard time keeping these in stock but we keep the listing up as it is good for comparison sake when considering the differences between reproduction and OEM. Keep in mind, service replacement parts often differ slightly from what actually came on the car. Over the years tooling is often replaced or modified and suppliers of things like fasteners often change....

Nothing matches the fit and feel of NOS. This will outlast the reproduction armrest three to one.

They made three different versions of this plate for non console Mercury Cougars equipped with a manual three or four speed transmission. Sold as a pair only, very limited supply. Driver side part number is C7WY-16304-B and passenger side part number is C7WY-16304-A. The casting number imprinted on the part is C7WB-17B957-B for the driver side and C7WB-17B951-B on the passenger side. The Mercury MPC refers to these as "anti squeak pads".

Also referred to as "Bumperettes", this kit was available as an over the counter option for your 1967 or 1968 Mercury Cougar. According to Kevin Marti's book, "Cougar By The Numbers" 15,018 Cougars received rear bumper guards from the factory in 1968, that data is not listed for 1967 but it is assumed that the numbers are about the same. The casting number on the driver side is C7WB-178951-A and the passenger side has a C7WB-17B957-A casting (or engineering) number imprinted on the top of the part.
