It's a threaded block inserted into the clip that holds it in place. 67 Cougars and Mustangs didn't come with shoulder belts, but the raised area where these brackets attach is still present. This standard drum brake line kit for early production Mercury Cougars (built before Feb. 1967) is bent and dropshipped from the supplier when it is ordered and is available in OE steel or stainless. These kits include all of the steel lines that run from the master cylinder to the wheel cylinders, but it does not include the flex tubes that connect to the calipers.

This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. In 1969-1973 they were used on the wheel lips mouldings. The 1971 - 1973 hood lip mouldings used the same screw but it was 5/8" tall.

New replacement J-nut or they are sometimes called U-nuts. These clip into those square holes in the fender aprons for fastening the fenders on 1967-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. These clips are 5/8 inches from the hole center to folded edge. We also see the same clips with 27/32 inch spacing for fender mounting. Numerous other uses, we find this clip on the hidden headlight buckets on 1967-68 Cougar and XR7's.

Famous 'Cal Custom' aluminum finned oil pan that was so popular throughout the 60's, 70's and 80's. It has not been available for years, but it is back again. Pan is made from all new pressure die cast tooling and then fully machined to offer a precise fit and leak free installation. Used grade B / B+ trim ring for a 1967 Cougar style steel wheel. 1967 Cougar style steel wheels are 14 x 5.5" wide and 1.75" deep, one year only wheel. Looks very similar to the 1968 SS wheel. This ring will have one or two very small scratches or dings that will not be very noticeable.
