Nice reproduction of the convertible boot moulding for the 1971 - 1973 Ford Mustang, but also works on the 1971 - 1973 Cougar. *The Cougar originally would have had a different contour and a painted black stripe down the length of the moulding.

This listing consists of 2 L shaped die cast side mouldings and one rear stainless moulding. We require clean cores for exchange prior to shipping. This is the "Chrome" trim across the top of the windshield on the inside. This piece will need to be sandblasted and repainted. Many people have chromed these, but because of Federal safety regulations from the factory they were painted satin silver.Ford Part Number: D1ZZ-7603606-A.

These reproduction convertible panels only come in black and are sold as a pair. They DO NOT have the holes cut in them for the retracting seat belts, so 72 and 73 Cougar owners will need to cut these holes. In addition, you will have to cut the holes for the ashtray and power window switch or manual window crank as well as install the snaps for the top boot. Wiring harness segment to the convertible power top pump on any 1971-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Part number D1ZB-15A668-AB.

C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. Bolts into place with 6 hex bolts 3/8-16 x 1-1/8" with washers. These were painted satin black from the factory. As you look at our picture below you will see the repro is about half the thickness. The repro is different in every detail but will work. We also have used plates with minor damage at a reduced cost.

This pair of reproduction convertible top hooks are beautifully chrome plated and features correct thread size. Looks close to original. These hooks are actually for 71 - 73 Cougars and Mustangs, but will work just fine on the 69 - 70.

This driver side moulding is correct for convertible. On convertibles the top portion is trimmed to allow it to slide under the sun visor bracket. The engineering number imprinted on the back is D1ZB-6503599 for 1971-1972 and D3ZB-6503599 for 1973. Convertibles show the same casting numbers on the part, but are a modified before assembly.
