All Available Parts - 1970 Mercury Cougar

This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. In 1969-1973 they were used on the wheel lips mouldings. The 1971 - 1973 hood lip mouldings used the same screw but it was 5/8" tall.

C9ZE-6583 Cast aluminum valve cover. Correct on 1969-1970 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with 428CJ engines. This is the plain finned aluminum valve cover. Ford master part number C9ZZ-6582-B. Casting number can also be C9ZE-6583-B. Sometimes called 1969 Shelby valve covers. *Note - Some 1969-70 428 Super Cobra Jet engines came with a different style of  "Snake" finned aluminum valve covers.

Chromed engine oil dipstick as found on all 1970 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with 428CJ engines (Q or R Code). Top of shield to dip stick is 20 inches. The handles were chromed originally. Ford part # D0OZ-6750-C, Ford casting # D0OE-6750-C.*NOTE* This is an improved dipstick that better reflects the actual full mark, from previous 428CJ dipsticks.

This white plastic spacer fits into the back of the right hand inner knob on cars without factory fader or balance. If your inner knob is loose and will not align, you will want to see if this part is in place. Plastic filler piece that goes over the steering column and bridges the instrument cluster portion of the dash pad. Ford calls this part a "PANEL" (Instrument Panel Cluster) in the Master Parts Catalog. "A" grade used is one without cracks or chips. Put a desired color in the comments section of the online order.
