This is the plastic center piece you press down to release your seat belt on the 68 - 72 seat belts. It comes unbroken and without cracks. This button piece has original decal with starburst design. Spring is included. Check out our video "All about seat belts" below.

This gives the thumb release button in your T shaped shift handle its tension. If it is rusted then your button will not return back to its outer position easily. Fits 1967-73 Mercury Cougar and 1965-73 Ford Mustang. Technically this spring fits all Ford and Mercury floor shifters 1965-73. Ford part number C5ZZ-7C300-A. The MPC shows this spring to have a free length of 2-1/16 inches.

This clip is the same as a door panel clip with the exception that it does not have the foam spacer. This clip was used on the 1968 XR7 overhead console, 1967 - 1968 xr7 and standard model upper and lower console pads, seat back access panels and several other applications. This original clip holds tighter than the reproduction. We recommend using this used clip over our reproduction for applications like the seat back because the reproductions often do not cut it. Good used grade "B" core plastic passenger side bezel that may have had one or more very minor cracks. One or more studs on the back may be broken as well. Finish will be poor or non existent and this bezel will have minor noticeable UV damage which makes them very brittle and prone to future damage.

Good used core plastic bezel that has had one or more cracks repaired as well as other areas of the plastic where pieces may have been replaced. The process of repair will show on the back side of the piece. There may be some sanding required to prep for a finish. Studs on the back side will be broken or missing. Finish will be very poor or non existent. Keep in mind that we can install a new metal stud on the back to assist in installation at an extra cost.

Many of our customers have asked and requested how we clean and detail our parts. We use a combination of items, mostly fine steel wool and elbow grease. Cleans haze, crud, and years of oxidation and water spots from glass, aluminum, chrome, and rubber. 16 individual pads in a package.

This is a restored 1968 steering wheel that is correct for all but the later production, standard interior equipped 1968 Cougars. Only the XR7 & XR7G received the woodgrain center section, the decor and standard interior equipped Cougars received a color coded to the wheel vinyl insert. B grade pad has shrunk to the point that the center section will not fit well and you may have to file some of the plastic away for a proper fit, it will be curling a little at the top where it meets the wheel and overall will be rather hard from UV exposure. Additionally, it may show some signs of wear to the texture of the graining. If you state your preference in the comments section we will try to accommodate you on color.

This is the 1968 Cougar visor bracket. Not an exact match for 1971 - 1973, but will work. The hole spacing and distance from the windshield is identical to that on the 71-73, the bracket is just 1/8" longer on the side that actually holds the visor tip.
