If your automatic floor shifter has play in it left to right then this is the culprit. This group of parts mounts to the top of the AT shifter arm and rides against the thumb activated button on your T shift handle. Allen head set screw for all stock Ford automatic shifter handles on any 1967-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford including Mustang. Uses the same 3/32 inch allen wrench for attaching as the originals. For use with factory and reproduction console parts on a 1968 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Plugs into your existing console wiring harness. Double male plug is 1968 only. Sold without light bulb. The supplier says this replaces Ford part number C7ZZ-15A808-B but that is incorrect as the Ford part number for 68 is C8ZZ-15A808-B. To use this on a 67 the plug would have to be changed to a male / female combo plug.

This gives the thumb release button in your T shaped shift handle its tension. If it is rusted then your button will not return back to its outer position easily. Fits 1967-73 Mercury Cougar and 1965-73 Ford Mustang. Technically this spring fits all Ford and Mercury floor shifters 1965-73. Ford part number C5ZZ-7C300-A. The MPC shows this spring to have a free length of 2-1/16 inches.

This clip is the same as a door panel clip with the exception that it does not have the foam spacer. This clip was used on the 1968 XR7 overhead console, 1967 - 1968 xr7 and standard model upper and lower console pads, seat back access panels and several other applications. This original clip holds tighter than the reproduction. We recommend using this used clip over our reproduction for applications like the seat back because the reproductions often do not cut it. Fits 1968 Standard or XR7

Many of our customers have asked and requested how we clean and detail our parts. We use a combination of items, mostly fine steel wool and elbow grease. Cleans haze, crud, and years of oxidation and water spots from glass, aluminum, chrome, and rubber. 16 individual pads in a package.
