The "premium" window regulator i purchased was a "scott drake" product - apparently maybe a universal part for several years ?

Anyway, the keyed or slotted area ("the teeth") where the window crank handle mounts is longer than the original cougar one ... because of this, with the new regulator installed, my window crank now has a large gap between it and the door panel. I can send pictures if you'd like.

This regulator is much more sturdier than the repo regulator I installed 30 years ago. This regulator was made of thicker metal and the sun gear worked smoother than the old repo.



The only issue I had is end of the regulator that the rear window roller goes into the track did not fit due to the end being square. I could not get the roller in the window track as the square corners were hitting both the vertical and horizontal window tracks. I compared it to the old repo regulator and the old repo end was not square but tapered down to the roller. I had to grind off the corners on the new regulator to get a taper and then it fit perfectly.

We needed a drivers side door window regulator for a customer 1967 Mustang Convertible build. I was skeptcial when ordering this from WCCC, because a lot of the aftermarket window regulators the rollers are loose and don't fit. This one was above that from a quality standpoint. From a restoration shop standpoint what we have come to love, when you call WCCC you talk to someone that actually knows mustangs and not just reading a script. WCCC is our go to supplier now.

I bought this window regulator with new door handles at WCC. Unfortunated the keyway from the window handle did not fit. Also the new chrome bolts, with came with both door handles did not fit. The regulator it self lookes allright, but time will show if my door handle stays in place.

Great solid replacement part . Easy to install with door panel off . Grease door tracks when changing . Window would slowly fall down when driving . You have to tape window up when changing . No more bungee cord .

Don't think I would call these premium. I am sure they are compared to some of the other repro ones. Mostly correct except the narrower equalizer arm riveted to the main arm was far from straight. Compared it to my old regulator with a straight edge, and it was quite crooked where as my old one, the equalizer arm was straight. With that arm crooked the rear of the window went up before the front and the window wouldn't "square up" when rolled all the way up no matter how much I adjusted front and rear stops. Straightened the arm as it should be, and my window worked fine then with new regulator.
