Reproduction 8-32 x 1/2" stud used to attach the convertible boot mouldings on any 69-73 Cougar or 65-73 Mustang. A number of these studs were installed on the mouldings, going through the body of the car and attached underneath the sheet metal using the boot nuts.

If you have an early 1969 your hinge was a flexible plastic strip that long ago began to fail. Often you will see generic piano hinge in its place. Correct size and style white square plastic insert that clips onto front or rear license plate bracket on any 1967-73 Mercury Cougar. Each kit allows one license plate to be mounted. The actual screw has a large head which is made for license plates, but is not the factory Ford style of fastener for Concours judged cars. This used original Bendix spacer bracket is mounted to the rear of the brake booster on the 69 - 70 Cougar and Mustang. These spacer brackets sometimes come up missing when purchased from discount booster rebuilders. If you get a booster that has a piece of plate steel and spacers in place of this stamped steel bracket, it is a go around (homemade). This plate differs from repro in that the mounting holes are the correct size and it has the correct relief spacing for the input rod dust boot....
