Finned aluminum Ford cast valve covers for any 1970-71 Ford or Mercury with 429CJ engine. Almost correct on 1971 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with N or C code 429CJ engines. D0OE-6583-A is the part number cast on both. These both have the same opening for the oil filler cap on both sides. Technically, for 1971, the passenger side cover would have a round hole for the PCV grommet and have a D1OE-6583-CA casting number.
