This unit mounts on the main air chamber, it opens and closes the air vent. Made of nylon with a steel and brass plunger just like original. This unit is easy to test and can be seen by removing the glove box. Often it is the internal spring that fails on these and if your Cougar or Mustang will not easily change between blowing through the defrost ducts and the floor duct, this unit may be the culprit. Vacuum tested working hot water valve for Mercury Cougars and Ford Mustangs equipped with factory A/C. This valve stops the flow of warm coolant when the A/C is on and has the original cast brass valve with bracket and vacuum pod. We are unable to guarantee that the water seal is good. Good used axle vent nipple or tube. This vent tube screws into the top of the rear axle and is a breather / vent to equalize the pressure inside the axle tube. Fits both 8 inch and 9 inch rear axles. Used grade "A" driver side (left hand) vent window frame as it comes out of the door and is just the bare window frame. This is not a perfect part but it will look good on a low mile car that shows a little patina. This threaded replacement wand will require you to cut 8/32" fine threads in your original controller. Your OEM mirror controller is made of a very soft metal so one can often install these as "self tapping".1967 and 1968 are different, see comparison picture. The 1968 version was rounded off due to new safety standards. The mirror nut tool will fit over the 1967 wand, but not the 1968.

Used grade B / B+ trim ring for a 1967 Cougar style steel wheel. 1967 Cougar style steel wheels are 14 x 5.5" wide and 1.75" deep, one year only wheel. Looks very similar to the 1968 SS wheel. 1967 was the last year for the 3/8"-16 threads. We also carry the J bolt C6OZ-1448-A, and the top plate or disc C5ZZ-1424-A. Wing-nut, spinner. *NOTE* The original 67 wing nut had no protruding tabs in the recessed area as did most of the 1968 - 1973 wing nuts.
