This plate attaches the 3/8" steel fuel line under the driver's side rear torque box, as it makes its way from the rear frame rail out to the rocker area. It acts both as a mount and as a protector from road debris. These were used on late 1967 to 1968 Cougars and Mustang with the 3/8" fuel line. Early 1967 cars had smaller 5/16" fuel line, and different routing (through the transmission tunnel), and did not use this part. Mounting bolts included.
This plastic protector sleeve is often missing or broken, but occasionally we come across a good used one. This part attaches just in front of / below the fuel tank on the passenger side, and serves two purposes: it routes the wiring closer to the fuel sending unit without it dangling down, and protects it from road debris This icon means that we're looking to buy this part!WCCC is a buyer of used and NOS hard to find 67-73 Mercury Cougar parts.
