This is the correct, original cover for your 1969-70 Mercury Cougar and 1969-70 Ford Mustang antenna. These fasteners were used to keep your package tray in place. In 1969 - 1970 the two clips were held in place with screws. Sold individually. We have seen various tech type screw with both large and small heads on them for fastening these clips. Same clip as was used in 1967-68, but without the push clip. We try to supply the screw, but you would likely want to get fresh ones, they are nothing special.Replaces Ford part number C4AB-6246698-A.

For those wanting to make their own "custom" package tray this will assist you in getting the correct dimensions the first time. This template is traced from a reproduction packege tray onto a piece of butcher paper.

If losing weight in your 1969 - 1970 Coupe is what you are after then this would be a good part for you as it weighs less than one pound and the original weighs approximately five pounds. The original is made of the same material as the sound deadener found under the carpet and we rarely get good examples in stock.

Unfortunately this is yet another incorrect reproduction made by someone who has never even sat in a Cougar. No embossment, no courtesy light holes if you have xr7 and no foil backing. These long rods are installed horizontally in your trunk and attach to the trunk lid hinges. We only remove these bars in pairs from cars that demonstrate that they can in fact support the weight of the deck lid on their own. We do not save rusty, bent or weak springs. This white plastic spacer fits into the back of the right hand inner knob on cars without factory fader or balance. If your inner knob is loose and will not align, you will want to see if this part is in place. 1968-70 AM-FM radios would not utilize this part because they have a balance feature. 1967 AM-FM radios would use this part as they did not have a balance feature. This option REQUIRES sending your core in advance. This is a freshly restored 1969-70 original stainless steel deck lid moulding. It has had all minor dings and creases it may of had professionally removed and has been polished to a mirror like, better than N.O.S. finish. This will also fit perfectly on your 1967-68 in place of the original aluminum trim and will look brighter and be less prone to damage.
