 1967 289 Passenger Side Cylinder Head Smog Tube Used(Click Here for More Information or to Order)
Right side tube that attaches to the 1967 California specific 289 cylinder head. Cylinder head must have the provision for this air supply tube. Cylinder heads with casting number C7OE-6090-A have this port for the exhaust air supply. West Coast Classic Cougars will supply this tube with the C6AZ-9A487-A smog tube check valve attached. Separating these two parts usually results in one or both parts being destroyed. Also called air manifold, part of air manifold assembly.
*1967 289 Smog Installation Tip For installation to cylinder head. A copper washer is needed on the cylinder head face .920 I.D. x 1.180 O.D. x .019-.023 thick, original Ford part number C7OZ-9C475-B. The bolt which was Ford number 20520-S2 5/16 x 2.00 Inches in length. Copper washer C7OZ-9C475-A .340 I.D. x .620 O.D. x .019-.023 thick for the bolt.
