1972 Mercury Cougar

This little switch is mounted on the back side of your interior temperature control panel on most 1969-72 Ford products. It energizes the A/C pump when you move the the knob to the "A/C" position. Correct dimensions and easy to install. Starting sometime in 1972, this switch was incorporated with the vacuum selector manifold. This is part of the switch assembly C9ZZ-19B888-A.

Used distributor modulator thermal switch for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Originally this switch was mounted in the drivers side door jamb and had a bimetal strip that was calibrated for ambient temperatures between 50 and 58°F. Used distributor modulator upper speedometer cable for 1971 - 1973 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with the FMX or automatic transmission. Cable that connects the back of the speedometer and the speed sensor of the modulation system. Shown to be 10.54 inches long.

Keep in mind that if you have the original motor mounts in your 1967 with a 289 or 1969-1970 convertible these mounts will not work. Nobody sells motor mounts for them, period. This is contrary to what every auto parts store will tell you. Your options are to purchase our (used 68-70 frame stands) or modify your existing ones.Sold individually, two required per car, left is the same as right.

Clean cores are required for this service, cores that are turned in for this service that are kinked, heavily pitted or mouldings with several holes drilled into them are not worth restoring. That being said, often all of the gravel pitting usually found at the front cannot completely be removed as it would result in a product that will be too thin.
