This tiny little spring has a diameter no larger than a pencil. Its function is to attach the deck lock cover to the deck lock housing and to keep the deck lock cover closed. After waiting several months, these reproduction 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar Deck Lock (Trunk Lock) covers are now finished!
