1971 Mercury Cougar

Original retainer that clips onto the breather element nipple sticking through the air cleaner base and holds the elbow for the hose going to the PCV valve.  Ford calls this part the Crankcase Emissions Filter Retainer.The Master Parts Catalog says this part is only for 1971 and newer cars, but this part has been found on low mile 1970 cars as well. Ford part # D1AZ-9E628-A.

Push on retainer for rear drum brakes. 2 or 3 of these were used to hold the rear brake drums onto the rear axle assembly during construction of your 1967-73 Mercury Cougar or 1965 - 73 Ford Mustang. While not necessary, these are a neat concours item. Sold individually.  Ford part number 372188-S

Used steel rear retaining bracket for the windshield wiper switch and cigar lighter on any 1971-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. These are bare steel and will have a bit of flash rust as shown, nothing serious. Replaces Ford part number D1ZB-17C584-AC.

Used door lock and trunk lock cylinder retainer clip. Not exactly the same as the door lock clips. This used retaining clip was originally used to connect the two power steering hoses together at the power steering box. Used on all 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with power steering and V8 engines. Ford shows this item in the chassis assembly manuals and it is called a hose retaining clip, and the Ford part number is D1ZA-3E506-AC.

We have created all of the components needed to economically install the steel nutsert or Riv-nut for the exterior mirrors that mount to the car doors. Our steel Riv-nut uses a 1/4 inch hole. You will need a 5/32 Allen or hex key, 3/8 inch wrench, and a 7/16 inch wrench. The Riv-nut needs to be assembled on the kit as shown prior to installation.
