This particular mid-plate has a seemingly factory installed tab welded to the backside.  This unit was not found on a 1968 Mercury Cougar but does have the wrinkles indicative of a 68 lid.  The tab located at 12 o'clock makes it rather difficult to install the Air Cleaner to hood seal. This Grade A quality ashtray lid was located at the rear of the console and was used on all 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougars except the 1967 standard model and the 1968 XR7G. This ashtray differs from other ashtrays you will see on various Ford products in that it has a brushed finish and a slightly taller lower section. Linkage arm that attaches to the windshield wiper motor that is unique to the 67 - 68 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. These are marked 7Z, among other things the slot is specifically indexed for the 67 - 68 Cougar and Mustang application. This is basically an installation kit that includes: linkage arm, flat bushing, wave washer, and nut. The order of installation is flat bushing, wave washer, linkage arm, and lastly the nut.

Includes two door lock cylinders, two door cylinder gaskets, two keys and one ignition lock cylinder.  Made by the original OEM supplier.  That being said, they do not make them like they used to. Replaces Ford part # C7AZ-6222050-A or C9AZ-6222050-A.

*NOTE - These knobs are NOT in the original Ford packaging, they were bought in bulk from a supplier who did not provide packaging. This style of knob was used on almost all Ford products starting in 1968 and continuing on through the late 1970's. Exact replacement inside door handle nut, trunk lock nut, and hood scoop nut. Same finish as originals. 10 of these are used to mount the 68-71 hood scoop found on the 68 428 CJ, 69-70 Eliminator, 69-70 428 Ram Air equipped Cougars and 71 GT and 429CJ. Two of these per door are used on the 69-70 inside door release. Two of of these nuts used to attach 1967-68 Cougar trunk locks.

Short rubber valve stem and cap for Ford wheels or any steel wheel with a 0.453" hole. Snap in style, sticks up 2 inches from wheel surface. These will work with all of our aftermarket Ford wheels especially with trim rings. These have the Dill 627 caps. Same as the 1960's cars.

This part is installed on all XR7 fuel sending units and Cougars and Mustangs with the optional Convenience Control Package. Low quality off shore part that requires soldering to your fuel sending unit. This is a temperature sensing device that activates when the fuel level drops enough to expose the unit at which point the circuit is closed and the low fuel light comes on. Commonly referred to as a Thermister / Thermistor / Low Fuel Sending Unit.

They don't fit very well, and are not contoured to any lower control arm on the market. You will be bending these to fit, prior to welding. *Note - This is a non-returnable item.

This set contains two bushings that measure 1 9/16 across the leading inside edge, and 1 5/8 across the outer rim.Note: These larger diameter bushings were used on Ford service replacement lower control arms. Typically found on Ford supplied lower control arms without the welded on jacking tabs.
