1968 Ford Mustang

This Grade B set will need clean up and servicing but will not have cracks, broken studs or excessive rust. Fits all 1967-70 Mercury Cougars including convertible, and 1965-70 Ford Mustang. Used kit includes C5ZZ-6561704-F, C5ZZ-6561705-F, and C5ZZ-6561726-A. Note that many of the 67's do not have the rectangular plate in place as seen here. We have a separate listing for those if you want to match your existing version.

This reproduction knob set is made by Scott Drake Enterprises. Unlike our knobs, these units have a much larger font. Considering the average Classic Mustang owner is probably 50 years old or more, this was a pretty good idea to do them in this manner since the originals are rather hard to read while driving. If you want user friendly, then this is a very nice upgrade. If you want correctness, then our other set is what you will want. Either way, we got you covered.

Reproduction set of Deluxe seat belts for the 68 - 69 Cougar or Mustang Coupe. Some things you may want to notice are that although these are made to fit both 68 and 69, the webbing is the 68 style. 1968 belts had four rows of material that make up the belt and 1969 belts had three rows (as seen in the picture above). This is a reproduction of the 1968-70 shaft which had a Ford part number of C8AZ-2478-A. This version uses a special spring clip. We also sell the 1967 shaft, which uses a hairpin clip and washer.

Used lower shaft fixed steering column found from 1968-69 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. This is the portion that mates with the upper shaft that bolts to the steering coupler. 1968-69 lower shafts are 15-1/2 inches in overall length. They also have a lower flange with flat sides. Other Ford fixed lower shafts can be used, in most cases the sheer pins are already broken. Just slide the shafts together for the desired length. This 1967-68 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang shield, was installed at the factory to protect the heater motor from being damaged when the Big Block 390-427-428's were being dropped in. As noted in the factory assembly manuals we sell, they were supposed to be removed once the motor was in place.
