1969 Mercury Cougar

This passenger side (right hand) reproduction emergency / parking brake cable idler bracket mounts to the right front floor pan. The idler bracket is often discarded when the floor pan is removed for replacement. We also have good used units in stock for those that desire 100% correctness.

This used emergency / parking brake cable connector is for the Mercury Cougar only. That is because it is longer than the Mustang version due to the Cougar's longer wheelbase. This connector connects the two ball ends of the long and short emergency brake cables. Ford part # C7WY-2A790-A.

This reproduction emergency / parking brake cable equalizer mounts to the end of the parking brake release assembly and captures the emergency brake cable. A very nice reproduction!Replaces Ford part # C6OZ-2A602-A.

New Old Stock center cap emblem for the Mercury Cougar with XR7 hubcaps / wheel covers. On the XR7 package, this concave aluminum applique was applied to the center of the hubcap / wheel cover. Called an applique. Used only in 1968 on the one style XR7 hubcap. Not sure why it has a 1969 part number, error? Ford part number C9WY-1137-A.

These original clip on center caps are an inferior design compared to our reproductions that screw on from the back. The originals had varying shades of blue, whereas the repro has a solid blue. The only reason you would purchase this fragile expensive used cap is to match what you currently have on a very original car. Correct reproduction available only from WCCC. Notice our consoles feature the correct Burl grain xr7 applique and correct for xr7 3 hump lid. Only available in black, we suggest SEM flexible coating if you need to color them to match your interior. We find that custom mixing the paint will get you better results than their off the shelf selections. Inquire with your local Automotive paint supply house.

These are used hose clamps that have a tab and fold over on them selves. These were dipped in a rubber like substance to prevent chaffing. The ones that we have available do have some cracking or damage to this coating. It should be easy to 'dip' them again with the product that is available in most hardware stores. We normally see 2 of these clamps, or straps bundling the hoses on most cars. These clamps should fit a variety of different Ford and Mercury products, not just Mustang and Cougar....

Stamped steel construction with black vinyl coating like the original to prevent corrosion. Band or ring style factory exhaust pipe clamp. For 2-1/4 inch outside diameter exhaust pipes. Comes with a course sheet metal type hex head bolt. Ford part number C6AA-5A272-A. *Not all 1969 & 1970 Cougars had 2-1/4 inch tailpipes from the factory. Check the outside diameter of your current tailpipe for fitment.
