This driver side (left hand) remote mirror was used only on the 1968 XR7-G Cougar and is a direct bolt on for any 1967-68 Cougar and uses the same mirror base gasket. This kit is similar to the original type mounted in every drivers side door. These OEM style Riv-Nuts will be a challenge to install unless you have the special tool. Applications all 1969 351 engines, both 351-2V and 351-4V, and 1970 351W-2V engines after 2/2/1970. That is correct, after Feb 1970 the H-code Windsor engined 351's used a 1969 style air cleaner snorkel.The C9OZ-9A626-B snorkel looks the same, but is a bit longer than the 1968 C8AZ-D snorkel. This snorkel was found on the 1968 Mercury Cougar and XR7-G models with the 390 or 428 engine and the tall pent roof finned aluminum valve covers. The HERTZ model with the 390 engine used a chrome "Powered By Ford" chrome valve cover and did not need the extra length in the extension. Quality recreation made from original parts. Decent reproduction, slightly different than the original Ford version. The noticeable difference is the lack of square notch in the slop joint. Ford part of C8OZ-9A626-C. This snorkel comes to you in primer.

For all 1968 through 1970 R and Q code 428CJ and SCJ air cleaners. Snorkel has the opposite jog than 390GT snorkels. This one jogs towards the rear of the engine. Originally this snorkel should have had an ink stamp of C8OF-9A626-A or -B. Ford MPC number C8OZ-9A626-C.

Although these are considered reproductions, they are actually put together from multiple parts of original excellent condition used snorkels. Air cleaner pre-heater paper hose. Should fit most applications from 1970-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with V8 engines. 2 inch inside diameter, we cut these to about 9 inches long. Correct black paper outside, flexible paper tube, kind of like a Slinky. Please verify your needed length, we leave them a bit longer than needed so that they fit more than one application.

Air cleaner intake assembly or snorkel specific to the one year only 390-2V premium fuel engine, (X code engine). This version has the vacuum operated trap door. There was an more common thermal version that used temperature to open the trap door to the heat stove. In most cases the vacuum valve will not be working.
