Nice used driver side strut rod that fits all 1970-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. Our good used Western strut rods are the best you will find. No bends, nor damaged threads, not heavily rusted and correct for your Mustang / Cougar and 1970-71 Torino, Cyclone, Ranchero.. Functionally the same as 1968-69 strut rods, just not stepped down threads at the end. Ford part number C9ZZ-3468-C. Our grade "B" rods are just as straight as our grade "A" used rods but the will show pock marks from rust after you clean them. One can fill and sand but it will take time. These are still a much better value than the Chinese rods we sell. This listing is for the driver side only. Compared to what you will find in most regions of the country these would be considered to be very clean in terms of rust damage.*Note - 1970-73 strut rods work equally well.

The Mercury Cougar used this articulated strut rod in 1967 to help give the Cougar a little softer ride over the Mustang. It is debatable just how much the addition of this joint helped.
