Reproduction Wire Loom Mounting Kit for the 1968 Mercury Cougar / Ford Mustang

Small retaining ring that secures the engine gauge feed wiring harness to the driver side valve cover. Two were used per engine. We found this part in the 1971-72 Mustang Electrical Assembly Manual. To be used with original wiring harnesses, the reproduction engine gauge feed harness does not have the clips to attach to this retainer.Ford part number D2AB-14A163-MA.

This Screw fastens the plastic guide for turn signal wires next to column under the cone by steering wheel.

Wiring harness segment from firewall to the convertible power top switch on any 1971-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang.  Part number D1WB-15A690-AA.

This black wire attaches to the fusible link coming off the starter solenoid on one end then passes through the firewall to mate with the top switch wiring at the other end. Correct for both XR7, Standard convertibles and power sunroof equipped Cougars.

Preproduction wiring harness, connects the convertible top switch to the pump on both the xr7 and standard model Cougars and Mustang 1969 - 1973 convertibles.

This harness connects the convertible top motor to the under dash convertible top harness under the dash. Fits 1969-70 Mercury Cougar and 1969-70 Ford Mustang. This black wire attaches to the fusible link. The Fusible link connects to the starter solenoid with an eyelet connector, then connects to this wire with a billet connector. This wire then passes through the firewall to mate with the power top switch wiring under the dash. Used under dash to under hood connector for the Mercury Cougar. This is part of the 14401 main under dash wiring harness.*NOTE*  This connector comes with the bolt and spring.

Used under dash wiring harness fuse block / box (with a chip or two) with wire leads for the Mercury Cougar STANDARD. This is part of the 14401 main under dash wiring harness. The difference between Standard and XR7 is that the Standard block has the pink resistance wire. *Note - The fuse blocks will have a small amount of damage or chips on it, in spite of what is shown in the picture.

We believe that some 1969 harnesses may have used a fusible link wiring harness in place of this one.
