Two piece kit, one piece for the headliner, and a second piece for covering the sunroof panel.On early production cars Ford pulled the cars off the assembly line to sent them to ASC Golde for install. Golde used 3 bows for installing the headliner, whereas in later production Ford used 2 bows when installing them on the assembly line. These headliners are for 2 bows installations. Pair of used wire anchors for keeping the rear most headliner bow stationary. These are fragile wires, and prone to rusting. We try to keep them in inventory. 1969-70 anchor wires are 3-1/16 inches long. A DIY person can improvise these pretty easy, using lengths of regular wire.

Contrary to what you might think at first glance, the support rods used in 1969 - 1970 Cougar headliners are not the same front to back. Each of the rods is bowed to a different curve. To replace a headliner and make it look right, you must keep the rods in the same order as they came out of the original headliner. 5 Rods total. Once installed in the car, each rod should be about the same distance from the roof as the other rods. WCCC marks the bows with a sharpie pen, 1 hash mark, 2 hash...

Nice reproduction headliner trim for 1968 Mercury Cougar standard models without padded windshield pillars. Also fits several years of Mustang.
