This is the original JB Weld. We decided to bring this stuff in as a convenience to you, our customers. Why not buy a pack so that the next time you need to bond something together, you'll have a couple of tubes handy? No need to get up and go to the hardware store. We think that this jumper or adapter wiring lead, was used in 1967 when the Neutral safety switch changed from two separate plugs to a single square 4 combination plug. There could have been an overlap where the plug from the firewall to the 14401 main under dash harness changed to the single square 4 combination plug. We have also observed the two separate neutral safety switch plugs plugged directly into the updated square 4 plug.

According to the MPC, this "Transmission Kick Down Control Shaft Rod" is used on all C6 Cougars and Mustangs in 1969, including the 390 and 428 Cobra Jet.  Our research and in hand examples off original Cougars would differ. Good reproduction of a knob that is always broken off. Made from milled aluminum rather than plastic as the originals were made. This makes it so it is not as susceptible to breaking off. Correct for 1967 only but fits perfectly into your tilt column for 1968 - 1969 Cougar / Shelby / Mustang / Thunderbird / etc... This knob is more attractive than the slender black knob used in 68-69, more durable and costs less. Used knob for the speed control or cruise control switch for any 1969 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Very rare and expensive option for 1969. About 1% of 1969 Cougars had this option and way less than 1% of Mustangs had this option. Switch hangs down over the radio. Used wiper knob for any 1968 Mercury Cougar. This detachable knob with set screw is slightly larger than the ones found in 1967. Good condition, will have a small rust pit or two.

This set of knobs is for 1968 Cougar / Mustangs without factory console. The exception to the rule would be the XR7G. Cougars equipped with a console need the longer version of this knob to clear the padded console face. This is the factory Ford remote trunk latch as used on luxury cars such as Thunderbird or Lincoln. As you can see from the photo, they are made (and install) exactly like our Cougar trunk latches, but with the addition of a release tab. These can be installed to use either a cable, vacuum, or solenoid release.
