1970 Mercury Cougar

These are used hose clamps that have a tab and fold over on them selves. These were dipped in a rubber like substance to prevent chaffing. The ones that we have available do have some cracking or damage to this coating. It should be easy to 'dip' them again with the product that is available in most hardware stores. We normally see 2 of these clamps, or straps bundling the hoses on most cars. These clamps should fit a variety of different Ford and Mercury products, not just Mustang and Cougar....

Band or ring style factory exhaust pipe clamp. For 2-1/4 inch outside diameter exhaust pipes. Comes with a course sheet metal type hex head bolt. Ford part number C6AA-5A272-A. *Not all 1969 & 1970 Cougars had 2-1/4 inch tailpipes from the factory. Check the outside diameter of your current tailpipe for fitment. Delicate clip that attaches to a nail-head stud attached to the firewall. Very functional and visible, rather hard to find in unbroken condition.

Used clip for attaching the moulding / trim to the front fender extension on the Mercury Cougar. This pair of reproduction convertible top hooks are beautifully chrome plated and features correct thread size. Looks close to original. These hooks are actually for 71 - 73 Cougars and Mustangs, but will work just fine on the 69 - 70.

C9ZB-7653139-A is the part number for the drivers side, C9ZB-7653138-A for the passenger side. These will often break when one hydraulic lift cylinder malfunctions and the other is still working. This scenario will put the top frame in a bind causing one of these cast parts to break. We carefully inspect these before shipment for cracks, worn areas or corrosion.

100% complete top frame as removed from a 69 - 70 Cougar. These tops are identical to Mustang with the exception of the rear bow being slightly higher on a Cougar. We carefully break this down by removing the header and crossbows and placing the original bolts back in the holes. Once you get this from UPS it will be very evident how it goes back together.

C9ZE-6A360-A Very unique part and a component to the 'drag pack' option on the 428SCJ engines. This is an additional counter weight used on conjunction with the SCJ crankshaft, SCJ crankshaft balancer. Ford part number C9ZZ-6359-A.

Original used female half of the factory air conditioning coupler for all 1967-73 liquid line or sight glass hoses. Brass construction, includes the plunger and spring. Also sold as a two piece kit which includes the male and female components. Replaces Ford part number C1SZ-19B596-A.

Since the reproduction is no longer available anywhere, we've taken a used plug and our electrical department has pieced it together to make a useable plug. The Eliminator uses the XR7 harness but not the XR7 rocker switches in the center of the dash. This bypass plug completes the circuit left open when no XR7 switches are plugged into the harness.

These were never offered originally but are a popular accessory and more cost efficient than buying a replacement for that unsightly old wheel and tire you took from a Granada in the bone yard!
