Locking pawl cable assembly for 67 - 69 TILT column T-Birds.

Rod used for locking the C-6 transmission in "Park". Connects to the lower tab of the steering column and the C-6 transmission shift arm. Prevents the transmission from shifting out of park when the ignition key is removed. Rod is about 13 inches long and was originally marked with a red paint mark or daub. Casting number stamped on the rod - D1ZA-7E330-BA. The C-6, automatic transmission, could be ordered with any engine from 1971 - 1973. Transmission code "U" on your door data tag.

This part is installed on all XR7 fuel sending units and Cougars and Mustangs with the optional Convenience Control Package. Low quality off shore part that requires soldering to your fuel sending unit. This is a temperature sensing device that activates when the fuel level drops enough to expose the unit at which point the circuit is closed and the low fuel light comes on. Reproduction reinforcement plate designed to weld onto the lower control arms. Sold individually, we are not sure that you would want to even buy one of these. They don't fit very well, and are not contoured to any lower control arm on the market. You will be bending these to fit, prior to welding. *Note - This is a non-returnable item. 

You can use 1968 up to 1973 lower control arms on a 1967 only if you change the strut rod to the 1968 - 1970 style. We have the strut rods available in both new and used form.
