Reproduction metal rear deck / trunk lid moulding / trim clip for the Mercury Cougar. The majority of the rocker moulding end clips we get look like this unit in that the stud is broken or the wire tensioner has been broken off. Putting a new stud in one of these clips is not a hard job. Sold Individually.

Ford part number C9WY-6510198-A. This is the metal rocker moulding clip that attaches the front and rear of the mouldings to the car in 1969 (except the Sport Special which only has them on the rear). In 1970 a Phillips screw held the rear end of the rocker moulding to the quarter panel on each side so just the fronts of the mouldings used these clips in 1970. This clip attaches the rear edge of the Xr7 overhead console to the support bracket. In 1968 the more common door panel clip was used for this application. The door panel clip can also be used for your 1967 model, we recommend the used clip over the new one.

These clips are found on the power window swtiches of the 69 - 70 Cougar. Each power window switch has one of these clips and one of the J hook clips.6 small clips required per master switch panel, one for each window switch and two per lock out switch. 

These same clips are also found on the four rocker switches located in the center of the 1969-1970 XR7 dash pad. Do not bend the "J" shaped tab any further than is necessary to release the plug from the back of the switch as these break easily. There are 16 of these used on a Cougar with power windows in 1969, add the 8 in the dash of the XR7 Cougars and some cars have a total of 24.Replaces Ford part number C9AZ-14530.

This is one of the hardest clips to obtain on any year of Mercury Cougar. Two required per bezel for the three bezels located on the passenger door and the two bezels in the back seat. Do not pry your bezels off or these clips will break rather release the clip with a small screw driver by inserting it in the rectangular hole on either side. Non-original style replacement clip for mounting the quarter window regulator arm to the window channel bracket on all 1969-70 Cougar and Mustang coupe and convertibles. This clip will work with either the 1969-early 1970 bracket and the late 1970 bracket. The late 1970 brackets used a unique spring steel clip that seldom is reusable.
