This white plastic spacer fits into the back of the right hand inner knob on cars without factory fader or balance. If your inner knob is loose and will not align, you will want to see if this part is in place. Original NOS shroud with correct chocolate brown color and texture as what came on your Cougar the day it was made. The later shrouds sold by Ford were smooth, black and the "Barnum Fibre Co. Great addition to that show quality FE powered early Cougar. Unlike the reproduction this has the original part number, BARNUM BROS. FIBRE CO. INC. lettering and FoMoCo insignia at the top driver side. This was one of the last units out the door when FORD discontinued them in the 1990's. This shroud was discontinued by Ford in the mid 1990's. It really is no different in appearance from our reproduction but it does weigh a hefty 2.56 pounds and the reproduction weighs 1.76 pounds. This latest of a series of 68 reproduction sheet metal parts is just what the market has been waiting for! The dimensions are EXACT down to the 1/16", black primer finish is very similar to what the later service replacement parts were from Ford. This assembly is spot welded to the fender skin. Sometimes this area will be damaged in a collision but the skin will still be fine. Due to the rarity of good fenders and the costly shipping you may want to consider repairing your fender as opposed to buying another if this is all you need.

New replacement J-nut or they are sometimes called U-nuts. These clip into those square holes in the fender aprons for fastening the fenders on 1967-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. These clips are 5/8 inches from the hole center to folded edge. We also see the same clips with 27/32 inch spacing for fender mounting. Numerous other uses, we find this clip on the hidden headlight buckets on 1967-68 Cougar and XR7's.

This unit consists of a metal shield with rubber stapled to the edges mimicking the fender contours. In most cases, these used shields will need to have the stapled rubber shields replaced. A Mustang shield will not fit a Cougar because the fender has a much different contour.Ford part # C7WY-16A574-A.

Set of nuts and Ferrules for thermactor smog tubes on any 1967 S code 390, 1968 390GT, 1968 GT-E 427-4V, or 1968-70 428 Cobra Jet engines. Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang, Torino, Cyclone, Ranchero, etc. These will work with original or reproduction smog tubes.
